Why do we live in the 21st century if the year is 2010, when a century represents 100 years so there's only been 20 centuries and some odd years which would make it the 20th century? To me it seems as though we're just getting started in the 20th century, 10 after the beginning of the 20th. If the 20th just started, why are labeling it the 21st?
